"Interpretations"
Vicki Clarkson
"Interpretations"
As a watercolor and mixed media artist, I have selected to create works that have isolated voices of contemplation. The work as a whole is a meandering conversation of creative interpretations of mood and moments. Organic abstractions that reference the atmosphere of living. The works call attention to melancholy textures of botanical influences as well as reference minimalism in dwelling structures. The show is offered as an opportunity to take a poetic stroll through my process of creating artwork without restriction. A collaboration of intuition and reflective story telling.
Lis Zadravec
"Earthy & Holy Both"
Primarily in colored pencil, Lis captures our deep connections through images of people and wildlife, reflecting the shared emotions, struggles, and relationships of both. She portrays playfulness as a vital stage of growth, the thrill of newfound independence, and a mother’s unwavering care. Her work embraces nature’s cycles without sentimentality, offering a window into a world that feels both wild and familiar. Her portraits of people and animals show their bravery and strength, The earthy and the holy. Both. Lis invites you to explore a world of wonder through her art. You may even find your own story in her work.
