Focal Pointers Photography by Leigh Scott and Mark Cohen

Monocacy Forge Forged Steel by Stephen Dill

April 4 - 26

Leigh Scott and Mark Cohen are Focal Pointers. They capture scenes that evoke emotions, tell stories, and transport viewers to special places, mainly the national parks near their home: Antietam, Harpers Ferry and C&O Canal. Focal Pointers are members of the Valley Craft Network Studio Tour in the Pleasant Valley area of Maryland and the Foundry Art Market in Chambersburg, PA. They donate a portion of the proceeds from their work to their philanthropic nonprofit The Healthier, Greener, Kinder Foundation. The Foundation provides small grants and donations to local community-based organizations who are helping to make the world a better place.

Artist-blacksmith Stephen Dill is Monocacy Forge. Located near the banks of the Monocacy River, Stephen crafts an eclectic mix of custom ironwork for homes, businesses, and public spaces. His hammer work is featured on a diverse array of objects including vases and unique wall art, while his larger designs include botanically inspired sculpture and ornamental yard decor. Stephen is a member of the Catoctin Furnace Historical Society where he demonstrates the blacksmith craft, helps plan fall festivals, spring art events, tourism outreach and repairs to the buildings. He is also a member of the Artist Blacksmith Association for North America (ABANA) and the Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland (BGCM).

We invite you to the Artists Reception on Saturday, April 4th, from 5:00-7:00pm
